Hey there :)
My name is Hanna, I’m 19 years old and new to Couchsurfing!
This year I graduated from school and in fall 2017 I will study medicine.
I´ve decided to do not go immediately to university after finishing school. Insteadly, I did a gap year, worked in southamerica to learn about foreign countries and cultures. I´m extremely interested in a cultural exchange and like to get to know the traditions and people living on other continents.

I spent half a year in Southamerica and a few weeks ago I came back to Germany. Travelling solo through this continent I always was happy to get to know new people, becoming part of the staff at different places and moreover becoming a 'new' family member ;)

I love to do outdoor activities like jogging, hikking and horseback riding. During my freetime I like to do sports, walk our dog, read books and meet friends. Besides, I spend lots of time with my family (got a brother and a sister; and my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins live nearby)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I decided to join couchsurfing to broaden my horizons and to make similar experiences I made by using "workaway" within a shorter period of time. Volunteer work is a priceless experience, but sometimes I can´t stay for more than a week at one place which makes me unable to work there.
So in general I´d love to get to know locals, learn about their lifestyle and exchange personal experiences. In my opinion living at somebody´s home in a strange counrty means so much more than just visiting a counrty. Those are the experiences that you´ll never forget!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Over years my grandma saved up money for a trip to Southafrica. We finally did it in february 2015!! My grandparents, my sibilings and me, we travelled from Johannisburg to Cape Town. Indescribably beautiful!
