About Me

Hey there 🌻

I am Hanna, originally from the German Baltic sea but I have lived close to Frankfurt for about 5 years now but also spent 10 months in Bratislava, Slovakia and 5 moths in Cork, Ireland. I study comparative literature and as much as I like to read, I also enjoy getting to know people from all over the world. I would describe myself as curious, creative and empathetic and am also interested in politcial and feminist topics. This autumn, I will start my Erasmus semester in Bologna and am very much looking forward to my time there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The summer when I was 10, my dad and I took his old blue vespa from the 70ies, went on the ferry from Northern Germany to Southern Sweden and travelled for a week to visit a friend of his for his birthday. Even though it was raining quite heavily - we sent parcels with wet clothes and shoes home to Germany - I love remembering this trip. Some streets in valleys were flooded (Swedish signs showed: "Överswemning") and we had to take different routs and stayed at very cheap hotels, so it felt like a real adventure

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very interested in (foreign) languages and probably have some fun facts and niche knowlegde on which languages are related to each other (at least in Europe but I would like to expand my knowledge). I like baking more than cooking, but at some point had to accept that I can't live on cake alone so of course I have some basic cooking skills and really like to spend the evening cooking and chatting with other people.
My grandmother taught me to knit when I was 12 and by now my knitting skills are quite advanced as I love to knit while watching films, series or reality tv, so that is definitely something I could teach.
