Overview
About Me
I'm an easy going and tolerant person who loves to travel. After I dropped out of school in June 2016 I left my home country Germany and became an Au Pair in British Columbia, Canada. It has been an unique experience since then! I live for one year in a host family on Vancouver Island and everyone gets along here really well. All in all I can say that I'm open-hearted and -minded and that I appreciate every cultural exchange with people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's really important for me to meet new people and learn something about their cultural way of life. Altough I love being in the nature and experience all kinds of landscapes - couchsurfing is just perfect for me!

Music, Movies, and Books
There isn't really a specific type of music or movies that I prefer. I listen to indie, folk, classic, rock and pop. But must-seen tv series are definitely "Sherlock Holmes" and "One Tree Hill". My favourite musicians are "Of monsters and men", "Mumford and Sons" and "Ed Sheeran". To be honest I'm quite obsessed with Disney - so let's just say, I know lots of lyrics by heart.
And I love books! I wish to become an author one day - so it's really hard so say which books are my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took part in a European exchange Programm and travelled to Finland, where I made friends for life! I saw the northern lights and went skiing for the first time.
But right now I'm in my biggest adventure: living in Canada for ten months. I already did so many amazing things like snowshoeing, downhill and cross country skiing; hiking and exploring the unique nature on Vancouver Island.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think it's super important to share your experience so that others can learn from it. Since my arrival in Canada I started writing a blog [in German, but English blog entries will follow soon!] and people ask for my advice about travelling or being an au pair so often. I appreciate helping others through shareing my life. Teaching and education have the highest significance for me - therefore I'm going to become an arts and German literature teacher after my au pair time.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share all my experience that I could already collect through travelling. And of course it would be great to show you my roots from Germany and Denmark. It's just great to meet new people and share different life styles from all over the world. And that's why I'm on couch surfing!
