I'm a 25 year old working as an emergency nanny in London. I moved here 3 years ago from Sweden, to get away for a while and do some music. Since moving here I have been in a singing group singing at open mics and I also volunteer for a theatre helping writing music. So yeah I love music! And looking after children in the day time is fun too. I get to meet lots of different families since I go to new homes all the time.

It's hard to say positive things about yourself without sounding like a self praising fool haha. I guess I'll just state some more facts and then you can draw conclusions from that. I'm the oldest child out of five, whatever that says about me, I don't know! I like dogs and cats, love learning languages, going to the movies. I'm a bit of a homebody, don't drink much. I love to dance though.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally joined one summer I was backpacking with a friend in Scotland. Then about a year later I moved into a tiny house in Stockholm where I had the ability to host, so I hosted a few people and had a great summer showing people around Stockholm. Since moving to London I haven't been traveling much (all my trips are to go visit my family in Sweden haha) and I already meet a lot of new people in London so I haven't had the need to use couchsurfing in a while.

But now! I'm thinking about starting to travel europe to practice the languages I'm learning, and staying at a local's house would be an awesome way to learn! I'm learning Spanish, Italian and German, so we'll see where I end up going!

Interests

Apart from music, I love hiking in mountain areas. Or cross country skiing a stretch for a few days. I go in Sweden with my family a lot. But I love just doing one day hikes as well, exploring the nature of a country I've not seen before!

I also love looking after children, perhaps one day I will become a teacher.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I used to be a big fan of rock, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, System of a Down, The Beatles, Deep Purple, 10cc, Green Day, Motörhead, Anthrax. A few years back I started to listening to basically everything fairly popular, MIA, Bob Marley, Madonna, Ariana Grande, Gorillaz, Chemical Brothers... What I might not enjoy so much is too underground stuff.

Books: I'm a big fan of Harry Potter since I was a child. I don't read many books anymore, but I still reread the HP books in different languages to try and learn them, which works fairly well since I know the books so well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have done is climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. It was like walking through so many different climats, from jungle to moon land scape with glaciers on the top, brilliant!
