Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Chicago but spent the past six years living and working in film and television in Los Angeles. I got a little restless working in "the industry" and decided to quit my job to see some of the world. I've been traveling on my own since early May and have enjoyed every moment.
Someone in Ireland told me "you're not on your own, you're with yourself" so that's been my mantra lately. Me and myself are pretty fun and easy going and always up for an adventure or a laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started to get a little too comfortable with a two hour daily commute and a boring routine. I decided I'm too young to settle and the money I've been saving for years for nothing in particular would be better spent on the road. That said, my money is limited so couch surfing has been the perfect way for me to continue exploring and meeting new people while stretching my budget and my trip.
I love that we live in a time where you can find a stranger on the internet and within a few hours of getting to know them, you've made a new friend for life. I hope to return to Chicago and host people and pay it forward when I get back

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies are too hard. I love all movies except horror films but I am starting to like them more. I love rock and folk and indie rock and rap - just about everything but I am not a huge country fan.
Last best book I read: Dietland.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I jumped from a 30 foot cliff in Croatia and hit the water so hard that I broke skin on my legs and started bleeding. I don't know if this counts as "amazing" but I was pretty surprised.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am very open minded and curious which always seems to lead to fascinating conversations on just about any topic. I can also make something delicious out of very few ingredients. I can offer cleanliness, reliability, chores, and my utmost respect and gratitude.
