ABOUT ME
I'm friendly, outgoing, down to earth, and a good listener. I'm reliable but also spontaneous and easy-going. I'm organised but not necessarily neat. I'm an expert at over-thinking trivial things. I laugh a lot.
PHILOSOPHY
Hakuna Matata! Pay it forward...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far have only travelled a little, had a wonderful one-night surfing experience in Iceland to start off my Scandinavian adventure and then crashed briefly with a now-old friend for a week until I found my housing in Stockholm. Looking forward to more travels and then when I am more settled paying the favour forward and doing some hosting of my own...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Brilliant so far! Good people making the world go round...
Interests
My life is best when I'm busy. I love to try new things, especially relating to new cultures and places. I like meeting new people and building friendships over common (or sometimes opposite) interests. My time tends to be filled listening to music of all kinds, and I love going to live performances, whether it be in a concert hall or at the local pub or a friend's living room. I also devour books as well as good food. I love to be outside and take advantage of the world around me. I love museums.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to count on all accounts! Particular favorites include any book by Dick Francis, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Yellow Wallpaper, and the Paper-Bag Princess. Movies include the Fall, She's the Man, and The Untouchables.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently moved to Jackson, Wyoming, home of the well-know and respected Jackson Hole Ski Resort, and I became introduced to the world of backcountry skiing. Although one must be smart and aware of avalanche, etc, dangers, there is nothing quite like experiencing the total quiet of the woods in winter, and working hard for those exhilerating, perfect powder lines. To use a tried and true cliche, the journey is just as important as the destination.
Another awe-inspiring moment came a few years ago when I was visiting Vienna on an incredible art scholarship through my college. I was lucky enough to get to the Museum of Natural History, home of the Venus of Willendorf. As an art history and geology major, with and interest in archaeology and anthropology, I learned about that figure in classes a multitude of times. However, the images didn't do it nearly enough justice. Seeing it in person, I somehow felt how powerful, primordial, of a piece it was. I'm not sure I've ever experienced anything quite like it.
