About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Sailing Maltese waters with Kai marine for the LIFE+ Migrate project (conservation status and potential sites of community interest for Tursiops truncatus and Caretta caretta in Malta)
ABOUT ME
I love life, traveling, meeting people from all over the world and sharing amazing experiences with my friends. Usually you can find me traveling around and working in Marine Science somewhere where there´s an ocean. I spend as much time as I can outside and consider my home to be anywhere I can throw my sleeping bag on the ground and have a clear view of the sky and my surroundings. (But if it´s rainy, I prefer a tent...or a bus!). My mom always said, "give your children roots and wings" and in my case, the wings are a bit bigger. This isn´t to say that my family´s not important to me, exactly the opposite: they´re the most important people in my life and although I don´t see them often, we have a close relationship and enjoy going on adventures together.
PHILOSOPHY
Launch yourself into the world and find places where earth moves you!
With the world at your feet, shine whichever direction you choose - it`s not just where you are going, but also what you are leaving behind!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently living in a bus, but when I have a new home made of bricks I'll gladly offer my couch, my tour guide capabilities and a good time to fellow surfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only good experiences so far. Crashed on a couch in Amsterdam once, then hosted some Spanish guys. Now I'm looking forward to testing out some Australian couches....I hear there's some comfy ones out there.
Interests
Hiking, Rockclimbing, Scuba Diving, Yoga, Jogging (best with my parents dog), Slacklineing - sports in general; photography, cooking (and of course eating), enjoying a good cup of COFFE, sinking my feet in the sand, letting it run through my toes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Almost everything but not Techno, Metal, R'n'B and the not-so-good old German Schlager music.
Anything from Tarantino and Rodriguez. I don't have a TV, but I love those old Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies. I also love watching documentaries (stuff like Planet Earth, The Blue Planet and travel reports. Is that too geeky?)
I'm mostly to busy to read, but when I do have time I like to read travel books, crime novels, science non-fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen quite a bit of the world, not enough though. One of the most fascinating things I've ever seen was sea- sparkle, that makes the waves glow blue at night. Sailing in the Indic Ocean. Climbing the Haut Cime in Switzerland, looking at the glacier from above.
Teach, Learn, Share
I´ve got a lot of optimism to give away, which doesn´t mean to say that I´m unrealistic. I always call things as they are. I´m always willing to share my scuba-diving, climbing, cooking and countless other capabilities with people and am always happy to learn new things from others.
