We are on couch surfing because we think there's no better way to make the world seem a little smaller than to get to know people from all over the globe via my own travels and theirs.

Interesses

I am one of those fortunate people who's daily priorities include, painting, reading, and eating good food. Occasionally I can fit some exercise in, via jog, walk or bike ride, but painting, reading, and good food take top priority.

I haven't seen a new movie in, like, five years, so The Royal Tenenbaums is still my favorite movie and at this rate, probably will be till I die.

I love graphic novels as well, Dash Shaw, Chris Ware, and Leslie Stein are my favorite authors of those. In the traditional book realm I love nonfiction and fiction and my favorite in both genre are both about the sea; Moby Dick and Kraken (a book about cephalopods )

On a 9 day trip to NYC last year I drew 500 drawings of the city and the people in it.

It was my first trip there and I wanted to do something to chronicle my time there in an unforgettable way.

I'm going back to NYC this year and plan to do the 500 drawings again, this time, better than before prepped with the knowledge I gained from having done it the first time.
