About Me

My boyfriend Joe and I are both in our mid 20s and are at the beginning of a 12 month trip. We have started NZ and will be heading onto Indonesia around the beginning of Feb. It's fair to say that we have well and truly caught the travel bug as the list of places we want to visit only grows longer! It is mostly down to sharing traveling stories with others, the people we have met and friends we have made along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We signed up to couch surfing in Australia after hearing so many good experiences that have come from it but mainly...

...WE WANT TO MEET PEOPLE!

It's an amazing way to meet like minded people who want to share experiences and stories. It would be amazing to meet up with locals who could teach us about their culture and city.

We're hoping to meet new people, learn new things and enjoy new experiences!

Interests

I enjoy playing rugby, scuba diving, animals, trying new foods, learning about other cultures and anything that takes you out of your comfort zone!

Joe enjoys playing rugby, eating, drinking, scuba diving, hikes and trying new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

All time favourite film is The Guardian... I have watched this film more times than I care to mention. A very close second is Man on Fire with Denzel Washington.

I enjoy listening to all kinds of music and book wise, I love reading a gripping thriller, one of those books that you just can't put down!

Joe loves all kind of movies of different genres. He is a big Lord of the Rings fan and anything under the sci-fi genre. Unfortunately for him I haven't seen many of these films so a good movie quote is often wasted on me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a home stay with a Malaysian family in Borneo. Sharing their home and learning about their culture and way of life was incredible. Such an eye opening experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm still learning many things myself so do not have much to teach as of yet but I do enjoy sharing past experiences and listening to other peoples adventures.
I believe you can learn a lot from someone just by talking!
