We are a young and very open minded german couple currently traveling through New Zealand. We are both very interested in different cultures and enjoy meeting new people and making new friends - is there anything more amazing than having friends all over the world? :)
I eat vegan and my fiancé Julien eats vegetarian. We try to reduce our impact on the environment as much as we can and to live environmentally friendly. At the same time we like cooking very much and eating nice food even more...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is just such a great possibility to meet new people and to travel around the world while constantly learning new things and having good experiences. Couchsurfing is a really cool way of receiving and giving back something in return, just as everything should be.

Interests

As written above, we are interested in cultures, food and pretty much everything around that. We both enjoy reading and being in nature, music (listening to and making it) and cooking. I love animals, so I really enjoy being around them. We also like doing some sports such as running and bouldering. Then there are essential things like philosophy and creativity... we have a wide range of interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

We listen to Jazz a lot and also like classical music. Apart from that, we enjoy Psytrance, the Beatles, Bob Dylan, alt-j, the Doors and quite a few other things... there is a lot of good music. We just don't like modern Pop or most of the stuff you can hear on the radio nowadays.

Books... well, I read everyhting I can get but prefer a good novel over the rest. One of my favorite books is 'The Hotel New Hampshire' (John Irving) and I loved the discworld novels by Terry Pratchett. There are so many great books... reading is just one of the most amazing things one can do. To list just a few great authors:

Movies... there are quite a few good movies (Pulp Fiction, The Lord of the Rings, Alice in Wonderland, Princess Mononoke etc.) and series (Dr Who, Six feet under, Sherlock Holmes, Famiy guy...) and we like watching documentaries, but we try not to spend too much time in front of a screen.
