About Me

I'm a small town girl with a lame sense of humor and big dreams. I love food, mustaches, Sean Connery, tacos, travel, reading, and talking to literally every person I meet. I'm embarking on my own 'Eat, Pray, Love' journey as I study abroad in Frankfurt- only a couple of thousand miles away from my little Wisconsin home- but I've really only been doing the 'Eat-'ing part so far! I enjoying learning about life, love, and the people that inhabit this crazy beautiful planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Two reasons: I'm incredibly cheap & I love to meet new people.
And I really enjoy couches.

Interests

Tattoos, history, food, reading, writing, dancing, eating tacos, going to concerts, thrift shopping, roadtrips, discovering new music, drinking coffee in cute coffeeshops, laughing at my own jokes, petting every dog I see, being impulsive, smiling at babies, getting lost in cities, seeing movies, hiking, and pretending I'm cool.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music spans from The Beatles to Luciano Pavarotti. I love folk, indie, screamo, opera, hip hop, pop, rap, classic rock- everything. Pink Floyd, Mumford & Sons, Sam Smith, M83, TwentyOnePilots, and Neutral Milk Hotel give me life.

Movies: Pride & Prejudice, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Shining, Jaws, Forest Gump. Dirty Dancing, Bridget Jones Diary, Clueless

Books: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Harry Potter, Wild, Eat Pray Love, The Color Purple, The Book Thief, Night Film

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I decided to uproot myself from my comfortable life and travel abroad in March 2016 to learn about privilege, culture, people, and the world itself. For someone who has never been away from home for more than a week, I'm incredibly proud of myself for not breaking down every other day and actually enjoying the beautiful world around me and growing into the young woman I dream of being.

...Also, I memorized all the lyrics to Baby Got Back.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning how to speak German, play the ukulele, become an ordained minister, be a better person, and be a more adventurous person.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughter, friendship, corny jokes, and a great dinner! I truly enjoy connecting with people and learning what makes them the person they are today. I can make a mean breakfast and dinner, am always down for watching movies, seeing live music, dancing (or pretending I can!), eating everything, or talking at 2 in the morning.
