In October, I’m going to be traveling up to a year throughout Australia and SE Asia. I’m starting in Australia, hoping to find work. I’ll head to SE Asia once I start running low on funds (relatable, right???). I’m taking a gap year before I go off to college, hoping to see as much of the world as possible! I want to start living my life now, rather than later.✨🏞

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m from a super small town, so there’s absolutely NO ONE in a 500 mile radius that shares a love for traveling and experiencing new cultures in the way that I do.🍑 No one in my circle quite gets it so it’s nice to bond with other travelers about it. 😂 I’m hoping to meet new people from all over. I have to warn you that I am super warm and friendly so if you’re cool and you think I’m semi interesting- you probably have yourself a best friend for life whether you like it or not. I love to force my friendship on unsuspecting people.😉

Interests

I enjoy making new friends, being nice to strangers, doing things for others, and sharing IDEAS with people from all over the globe. It seems like I’m always planning the next adventure of a lifetime 24/7. I’ve been bit by that damn travel bug for quite some time now. In my free time I’m trying to read more, devote more time to my relationship with God, & spend more time nurturing others in my life as much as I possibly can.💖

Music, Movies, and Books

🎶: Foster the People, Elton John, Taylor Swift, Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers, Hippo Campus, some country music... I like variety if you can’t tell. I really enjoy music festivals on another level. Something about getting semi drunk with random groups of people to good music is frickin’ m-a-g-i-c-a-l if you ask me!
🎥: Judge me but I love the Bachelor/Bachelorette, I have no shame. I also LOVE Friends and have way too many Friends themed t-shirts. I’m currently catching up on Stranger Things again & really enjoy shows that put me on edge.
📚: I like crazy memoirs and pick up lots of travel books obviously. Basically anything that will inspire me or get me thinking!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my senior year of high school, I saved up and went to Iceland by myself just for the hell of it for a couple weeks. I got to snorkel between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia. That’s all for now... would like to go skydiving or maybe see more wonders of the world!🌎

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some slaaaaang, yeehaw. I’m kidding. I’m not actually some backwoods hillbilly although I could definitely share some stories that may have you think otherwise. But seriously, I am the most easily intrigued person ever so chances are we will get along great and I’ll ask you millions of questions. Then I’ll send drunk Snapchat’s to you for years to come even after we part ways. Why wouldn’t you want to partake in such a fun time like me???? Let’s hang or host me!🤠

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to cook the 2-3 dishes I know how to make, haha! But chances are I’ll probably avoid the hassle and mess altogether and just get takeout, so you don’t have to worry about me using your food or dishes. I’m super organized and clean. Blah blah I’m sure everyone throws that in there. But seriously I’ve been sharing living spaces with others for quite some time now and make an extreme effort to be considerate of others when sharing accommodation. :)
