About Me
Heyeeyey! My name is Hannah, I hail from the Bay Area, California, and spent 6 years living in New Orleans that wacky city before heading off for a year of sola travel in south and southeast Asia. I'll soon be moving to Boulder to start a master's program in counseling.
My passion lies in art, in healing, and the intersection of the two. I'm a writing teacher, a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, have experience in Jin Shin Jyutsu hands on healing and massage, and am interested in a wide array of spiritual traditions and practices, and love the earth, surprise surprise! I have a Bachelor's Degree in English and Sociology and Masters Degree in English , and am very compelled by "narrative" (literary, orally, socially, etc.) as creator and product of culture. I hail food, community, and time in nature as the greatest medicine. Mainly, I like to take it easy, not care too much about most things except where it counts, and spend a lot of time sitting and laughing to myself. I try to do things that keep me on my toes and make it hard to feel attached to any particular identity and I am recently very intrigued by lizards.
I think most things are hilarious while still important and beautiful, and I love meeting new people. I always try to be open and receptive and am sure that you will feel I are respectful of your home, property, and time .I am/am ever trying to cultivate the "open to it all" mentality. I've been blessed with a wide array of travel experiences and am very StOkED be exploring a places that are new and old to me alike.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've met so many great people through the most random of interactions and have a great love for the diversity, multiplicity, and intricacy of people's minds and motivations. Couchsurfing is a great way to connect with people and to get a window into local life!
Interests
Reading, writing, art of many forms, making up silly songs and sillier dances, being silent with other people, being talkative with other people, water, trees, did I mention the lizards. Really digging watercolors. I desire to get into climbing and gardening. I think we are all on this planet and that everything that happens to us is to help us to be the best force of good as possible. Monkeys unite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Eaten strange fruits from many countries!
Teach, Learn, Share
Love ta learn any ideas one has to share, and anything that provides more context to the place/culture I am in. Likewise, any first hand knowledge of history, language, social climate, or anything a host might have to offer would be exciting.
I can teach you about yoga, the body, nutrition, and some working knowledge I have about energy systems and healing! I also enjoy asking a lot of questions, so if you're feeling into talking about yourself... have at it. I got plenty of good book and information recommendations and can edit the hell out of any English-language document you feel needs some work. I also split my time in between two great places - New Orleans and Sonoma County north of San Francisco - and would be happy to repay the favor should you visit.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happy to help around the home, run errands, or help cook. I'm exceptionally happy to help in any other way that seems relevant or useful.
