About Me

I'm rather corny and enjoy a good pun-related joke. I love things that are slightly unconventional - like having impromptu dance parties on parking garage rooftops with friends, courtesy of the car's stereo system.

I care about physical therapy in acute care, socioeconomic and health care inequalities and I want to learn Spanish. I enjoy the hunt for good food, experiencing new cultures and find cooking and baking therapeutic. I think quality conversations and friendships include talking about the deep and difficult things in life.

Sidenote: Apart from English, I am somewhat fluent in the language of food. One of my greatest pleasures in life is to entertain or learning how to cook a dish. So if you have a dish you love to make...teach me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love getting to know a city by bumping into a local and being pointed in the best direction(s). There are things/landmarks one has to do when visiting a new place, but the only way to KNOW a place is through immersion. I'd rather not do that from a hotel room where your only entertainment is cable TV (as opposed to having a conversation with someone who loves their city).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've broken my toe by tripping over an edging block for a flower bed.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Do:
Provide random useless information learnt from a love of reading.
I'm really good at figuring out how to substitute ingredients into a recipe/balancing ratios of flours and leaveners.
I can make copper based jewelry.
I can help you up the ante on your thrifting skills.
I can help you find great places to eat on a budget/things to do on a budget. Basically, if you are a poor current/former grad student, I can help you figure out how to have fun without taking out more loans.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If there is something on your bucket list in your city, I'll go with you!
Appreciation for the little things in life.
Cleanliness.
