As a Korean American, I deeply care about Korean War veterans and am on a mission to preserve their memories. I want to archive their stories before it's too late....they're almost in their 90s!

I currently work in politics and live in DC but will be taking a break to travel to 23 of the nations that fought in the Korean War to promote peace and reconciliation in Korea and the world by visiting 23 of the nations that fought in the Korean War -- Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, Ethiopia, France, Greece, India, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the Philippines, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm Couchsurfing not necessarily to find lodging but your help in finding local Korean War veterans and/or come with me to interview them . I'd also love some company when I go to visit the Korean War Memorial in your country.

Through meeting locals like you (instead of staying at a hotel) I also would like to raise awareness about the Korean War. Not too many people around the world know about your country's contribution in the Korean War.

Finally, I will be traveling alone for 4 months, so having a local host would be nice to feel safer and to feel at home.
