About Me
Hello! My name is Hannah :) I finished my bachelors degree last spring and have been working and backpacking ever since. I majored in English Literature and minored in Psychology, and my plan is to go back to school for a masters in Psychology. That is, once I get the travel bug out of my system, which, let's face it, might not be for awhile. I grew up in Canada until I was twelve, at which point my family moved to South Korea. We lived there for four years, and then moved to Nairobi, Kenya. I lived there for two years and then went back to Canada for university. I love meeting new people and trying new things more than anything (food, experiences, you name it). I think the two most important things in this brief time we have on the planet are the relationships you form with people and the experiences you have :) Oh, and snacks. Snacks are important.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I should have joined Couchsurfing a long time ago because I keep hearing about how great it is from tons of travellers I've been meeting. I'm hoping to use it to find places to stay sometimes, and also to find people to meet up with if I'm in a new place. When I get my own space somewhere down the line I also want to host people on Couchsurfing.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like pretty much any music, although The Lumineers are my favourite band. I especially love going to live music events, no matter the genre. My favourite book is The History of Love by Nicole Krauss--it's a really good story and it's written very beautifully. I LOVE going to the movie theatre. It's such a great experience to be completely absorbed for a couple of hours. I love it. I like really off-beat quiet movies.. The Life Aquatic is a good one. And Baz Luhrmann's movies are good because they're so big and extreme.
