Overview
About Me
I'm the weird homeschooled kid who has too many hobbies. Reading, writing, sewing, playing violin or piano, hiking, cycling, swimming, running, cooking, crocheting... and many more "-ing" words. I also run a small housekeeping business and hope to start a sewing alterations business in the near future.
Growing up, my family traveled a ton. My parents shoved my four siblings and I into a minivan and drove across the country quite a few times. As soon as I was old enough to fly alone, I worked an entire summer to go to a writing conference. Since then, I've tried to replicate the way my parents traveled: budget friendly, constantly connecting with new people, and integrating travel with regular work life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When we weren't road-tripping around, my parents invited adventurers to stay at our home. I spent many evenings in the backyard chatting with cyclists, hikers, or van-lifers. I got to meet people from all over the world, and to hear their own stories and perspectives on things, and I am so thankful for those experiences.
When I travel, I don't want to just see the cool sites and views. I want to meet other people and hear what they have to say. After all, our world is mostly made up of people. Even though we live in different areas with our own distinctive history and personality, we are all human.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How could I choose just one? Here are my top three adventures:
- Riding bikes on Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park (and taking my grandma and great aunt up on e-bikes)
- Hiking the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim with just my two brothers, and then meeting up with other family at the end.
- An amazing camping trip with my cousins. 10 kids. 3 adults. Bikes for everyone. Endless Oreos and laughter.
Teach, Learn, Share
"When you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect."
-Mark Twain
AKA: don't be afraid of doing things different. You don't need to have a regular 9-5 job, and take vacations only in the summer. Life is way more interesting when it's different from the usual.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am absolutely willing to help cook and clean. I'm always up for listening to adventures. I can also teach a bit of violin or piano (provided you have one... pianos don't fit well on airplanes :) ) or help sew or mend things. Or if you just need some peace and quiet, I have no problem entertaining myself.
