Everyday I hope to meet amazing people and laugh a lot. I love to dance, be in the sun, next to the ocean, read, listen to music and fantasize about different food that I'm going to make or try. If you've seen the movie Ratatouille you'll understand. I've been spending my first year in Europe in Spain as an assistant English teacher. I am learning Spanish and soaking up life abroad. I grew up in New Hampshire then moved to Washington, DC where I went to college and majored in English and Film and Media Studies. I've also lived in LA and Capetown, South Africa. I plan to move back to LA this fall.

I want to try a more authentic way of traveling where I will get to know more about my hosts and the communities they live in. I hope that I am able to give people as much of a new experience as they would be giving me. Couchsurfing is such a cool idea and gives me some much needed hope in the generosity of strangers. Really, it's part of a beautiful movement that encourages the embrace of people and places that are unknown to us. We could all use that sort of openness.

I love so much it's hard to create any sort of list here. Real quick: Hip-hop (SZA, A$AP Rocky, Frank Ocean, Lauryn Hill, Fugees, Rihanna), Folk (Lumineers), Rock-Funk (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Movie Musicals (Rent, Chicago, Wicked)... Too much, love lots of different stuff.

Movies: The kinds of movies I like are thrillers, comedies, magical realism, visually stimulating. I love dark movies, dark comedies and movies that push the audience to extremes.... Black Swan, Get Out, The Shining, Nymphomaniac Part I&II, The Dark Knight, Donnie Darko, Django, Fargo, 25th hour, Ex-Machina, A Clock Work Orange.

Comedies: All things Will Ferrel, Bridesmaids, This is the End, Girls Trip, Napoleon Dynamite

The other side of me is obsessed with musicals, dancing and love. Call Me By Your Name,Titanic, Rent, Chicago, Across the Universe, Moana, Moulin Rouge, Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Grease, Dirty Dancing (sucker for 80s movies in general), Step Up 1&2, Stomp the Yard, Center Stage

Love me some documentaries too.

Books: I read a lot of books about positivity, spirituality and the law of attraction. I also love fiction.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I went cage diving with Great White Sharks in South Africa. This experience was both terrifying and thrilling. At first we wanted to see a shark so bad and then they just kept on coming. One bit the cage in front of me, coming right at me. If I had reached my hand out it would have been gone. I was screaming underwater so loud my sister and the two other people in the cage could hear me. I came up and immediately wanted to go back down.
