I'm a 27 year old dancer, teacher and event manager from the UK.

I love being outdoors, preferably walking or swimming, either on my own with time for thinking or with others with time for juicy conversation.

I'm inspired by landscapes, stories, history, learning what people I talk to have experienced and learned.

I'm a bit of a foodie - cooking and eating tasty food with lovely people is a great social ritual!
And a bit of a nerd - sci fi TV series, classical mythology, Hamilton the musical: don't get me started!

My ideal day with friends would be a long walk somewhere beautiful, sharing a hearty meal and then out dancing to live music (and/or a 90s disco!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm venturing forth on a 2 month trip to New Zealand! Ever since I visited NZ in 2008 I have been longing to come back. This time I'm coming on my own and would love to meet people, make connections, see new places and discover the country with advice from people who live here.
Several friends have highly recommended couch surfing and this trip feels like a great chance to try it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago I went down to the beach on the south coast of Wales late at night and saw, against all the odds, flashes of deep blue bioluminescence playing out along the edges of the waves. Afterwards I wandered back to the campsite down paths glinting with glowworms. It was all a bit magic.
