About Me

Spontaneous, huge risk taker, independent. Always trying to dig out of the positive that I can discover of the world rather than negative. Most use quote for me recently "I study Psychology to have a better understanding of human behavior and the mind, I study Dance to keep me going."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Deciding if I should travel to New York June 5-23 (if i can get a place to stay). Last summer to explore before graduation next year!

Would love to host people in the future when I get my own place, or when I go back to Malaysia. Kota Kinabalu, Borneo Island to be specific. Working on getting as much growth I can in the US right now, so when I go back to my community, I will be able to contribute and open up outlets of opportunities for others. And introduce you to my beautiful village, culture, and city.

Music, Movies, and Books

currently reading "The Diary of Vaslav Nijinsky"
Working on my final year project: "How do we embrace abnormality". How do we shed a light on the positive impact of how certain abnormalities could contribute to society. How do we create outlets for abnormality to still feel as a contributor to society, rather than shoving them aside and placing negative connotations on the labels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

had a 30minutes conversation with Netta Yerushalmy. (her work gives me hope on how dance could impact so much more than just aesthetics, movements and performances.)

Solo trip to China for 2 months. Lived with more than 5 local families, learning their lifestyle, but at the same time providing perspective on their parenting and children-parent relationship. Ended my last week finding myself living with the nuns and monks in one of China's sacred mountains, "Wudang Shan" exploring Taoism and Tai Chi.
