About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel! I've been on vacations with family where we stay in comfortable hotels and visit the famous landmarks, but I've also traveled with other youths, staying with local families and immersing ourselves In the culture. I would say that I prefer the latter trip by far. Getting to know the people of a country is a lot more memorable and exciting than only hitting the tourist locations. That's why I'm on CouchSurfing. I want to know life in a country on a deeper level.

Interests

Traveling to new places and getting to know the culture and people.
I am very interested in psychology as well as biology. I plan on attending medical school and becoming a doctor.

I have played soccer since I was 6 and I love it. I'm not very talented but it is still fun to do

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last Summer I spent a month in Cape Coast, Ghana. I stayed with a local family and spent my days doing a medical volunteer program. I learned so much about basic medicine as well as global health. It was amazing to see some of the health conditions in Africa because it is much much different than back home. I also bonded with my roommates and family after living together in a place that was unfamiliar. However, it was an unforgettable experience.
