I am an independent young woman who wants to see as much as I can in life and meet unexpected people and learn unexpected things along the way! I love the outdoors, riding horses, coffee, good wine, and heartfelt conversations about things that are meaningful and deep.
I love my family and friends dearly and am extremely loyal.
I am currently applying to medical school and trying to get as much as I can out of life along the way without being consumed by that goal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing because I have found that the best part of traveling is the people you get the chance to meet along the way. Sharing experiences, culture, and company with others is far more valuable than seeing the world in first class or posting photos of all that you see!

Interests

I love horseback riding, being outdoors, spending time in cozy coffee shops, rugby, finding amazing views in nature, late nights full of laughter and conversation, card games, kayaking, white water rafting, swing dancing, spicy food, whiskey, and anything that lets me stay in sweatpants and a cozy sweater.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love country music, oldies rock'n'roll, soundtracks, Broadway, some contemporary pop, alternative, and a mix of a few random other genres.
Books: my favorite is really, really old with lots of history and that sense of awe you get when you open it up and think about how many other people throughout time have flipped through its pages. But specifically, I love Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, super hero comics, Dante, Dickens, and Augustine.
Movies: so many! Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, D.C, Pride & Prejudice (not with Keira Knightley), The Princess Bride, Million Dollar Baby, Australia, Moulin Rouge, I could go on forever! Most recently at the top of my list is Arrival. Changed my life. Honestly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to swim with sharks, sea lions, sting rays, and sea turtles among other things while traveling in Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love languages and learning about different cultures, so I would be more than happy to learn some of a language that you know and share what I know of English or French!
I also grew up eating a lot of traditional Cajun food from the Deep South. I’d love to cook something for you or with you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversation, an eagerness to learn, and an open mind with hosts. I will talk about pretty much anything with you! Politics, religion, philosophy, art, film, my culture, the future, anything!
Food. Food is such an amazing thing to share. Going out or staying in I want to share my appreciation for food (and sometimes drink). As I mentioned above, I’d love to share the recipes that I grew up on and cook something for you. Cajun food is 👌🏼
