ME

I am an Australian but I live in Sion, Valais, Switzerland now! If you are around, I am totally keen to hang out :) Just send me a message. Unfortunately I can't host you in Sion but happy to hang out :)

I am a 25 year old Australian female from Sydney. I spent the past 3-4 years travelling and now am happy to settle down for a while in Switzerland with my partner.
In Australia I was an events organiser and along with a crew of friends we host various events such as music festivals and art exhibitions in Sydney (or nearby, in the bush). I spent alot of my time creating decor for these events or organising various other aspects. I am interested in trying to live alternatively and am avoiding the classic 9-5 job..

My main passion apart from festival organisation is meditation.
I love gardening, horticulture and permaculture and want to learn more and more about all this.
And I also totally enjoy a good beer :) I started brewing beer with my boyfriend last year and it is super enjoyable and I love to share about this. We are now brewing more than 100L a month. I really like to try local craft beers (especially IPAs ;) )

I know how to be a good guest and respect your space. I am very positive and proactive and always try to create a good vibe. I am pretty minimalist and organised but also easy going and happy to go with the flow.

I am environmentally minded - I worked at a bulk foods store which implements no plastic packaging and no food wastage, so I am always recycling, composting, saving water, shopping without plastic. I am also interested in healthy living and love to cook.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Because of my festival organisation, I often had international musicians playing at the festivals, or friends who come out to attend the events and therefore have a pretty steady stream of people staying (just not through couchsurfing...yet!) I love the community vibe and always try to make a guest have the best stay possible by showing them around, sharing food and stories.

If I go to a party it is to a festival of psytrance or a techno night. So I really love this music but if I am at home and exploring music, I listen to other genres.. A few of my other favourites;

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Experienced a live volcano on a small island in Vanuatu spraying molten lava.
also seeing an active volcano in guatemala and camping nearby overnight, watching it erupt under the stars

or maybe hitchhiking with a friend 80km on a 4WD road into the middle of the Australian desert to see purnululu national park (amazing).. but then getting stuck in the park overnight with no food, water or camping supplies.. but made some great friends who helped us, gave us a shower, food and alcohol and drove us back to our camping van the next day :)

I'm really interested in other languages, so I would love to learn a bit of your language (and about your culture) I can also teach English and French.

I also try to meditate every day and love sharing the practice of meditation with others.
