About Me
Hey,
my Name is Hannah I´m currently 23 years old and life in Joensuu, Finland. I have just spend the last term of my B.A. in Social Work as an Erasmus Exchange Student at the University of Eastern Finland.
I grew up in the beautiful city of Salzburg that apparently is more famous for "Sound of Music" than it is for Mozart or its gorgeous Mountains. After finishing my A-Levels in 2014 I was not sure what to do at Uni and decided to go to London for a year to figure that out. During that time I volunteered at a charity and worked as a life-in Nanny and honestly had the best time! I got to travel a lot and got to see every bit of the stunning Scottish Highlands and even the Islands. I also discovered my love for Black Tea with Milk and especially Digestiv Biscuits! In October 2015 I moved to Würzburg, Germany to start my B.A. in Social Work and that´s basically what I have been doing until now.
As I already got to life in four different countries I would describe myself as pretty open-minded to nearly anything. I´m easy going and always try to keep the hassle to a minimum but at the same time take up any recommendations I can get. I would consider my German and English as decent and my Finish and Danish as rather patchy and basically only available on my CV. But I´m happy to try and bring the skills back to life :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As all my courses in Finland have finished and my Masters in Germany won´t start till October I decided to make my way back Home on the train. I got a one month Interrail Pass and the goal to see as much stunning landscape as possible, meet as many interesting locals as I can and traveling by public transport or foot only. I´ve got a camping mat and a sleeping bag I´ll be bringing along as I would like to go as many hikes as possible (any recommendations welcome!).
Interests
- reading
- cycling
- hiking

Music, Movies, and Books
I´m not picky... I´ll take anything i come across but got a soft spot for penguin books and British as well as Russian Classics.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My very limited cooking skills and my actually rather decent baking skills.
My good German and English but also my patchy Danish or Finish.
I can also fix up a bike if necessary and build Malm Ikea furniture without instructions.
But apart from these practical skills I can offer a load of interesting though useless facts about most countries I´ve been to and a immens load of stories about stuff that went wrong (or well - but that´s less fun) on past trips :D
I´m also happy to share my knowledge on anything useful I happen to know :)
