About Me
**Hosting status: I would love to have you in my home, but I must admit I am often gone on weekends and crazy busy weekdays. Since I am a teacher, my schedule is pretty busy, but feel free to write and I will do my best if I am free to give you a spot.***
Hello beautiful souls! Guest, host, friend, whatever--I love to travel and meet new people. I'm not an oldie to the Couchsurfing community by any means, but I feel passionately about the basis of CS, the concept of sharing, giving, creating meaningful connections, and learning endlessly. I started CS in 2014 when I first moved to Europe. Many connections I have made changed my life in my travels and living different places. Respect and kindness are of the utmost importance to me, and the CS community should always be based on sharing and love.
Current life: living in Quito since August 2018 teaching in a bilingual school
I moved back to Texas in 2016 after living in Andalucía two years. I became a vegetarian (or occasionally pescatarian, if you want to get technical) November-ish 2015. I love love love to cook and share veggie food.
My personal philosophy is love, respect, feel passionate, live with joy, and appreciate. Also to dance and smile as much as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
People. Couchsurfers are the most amazing, vivacious, sagacious people I have ever met. I've made some amazing CS connections, meet-ups and surfing, bopping around Europe. I'm hoping to see what the US CS scene is like soon, and perhaps get some events organized.
Interests
Rock climbing as much as possible. Coffee, live music, yoga, reading, walks, dancing, running, cycling, hiking, learning, Capoeira (beginner). Beer & wine. I like to get in a good balance of fun nights out and quiet nights in with movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was studying abroad in Costa Rica, we rode a bus up a tiny trail all the way to the top of a mountain. Looking out over a valley into the rainbow of colors cast by falling drops, I felt what it means to have your breath taken away.
