Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Hannah and I love people, music, art, nature, and life. I have always dreamt of traveling the world, and now here I am doing it! Currently I am studying abroad for a semester in Aix-en-Provence, France. I study music at Linfield College in McMinnville, OR, with minors in visual arts and French studies. I play the cello, guitar, a little bit of piano, and I sing a lot. I would like to be a teacher and professor someday, perhaps being a choir/orchestra director, and teaching courses about music and art history.
I love meeting new people and making connections however I can. I love making art and music and doing henna tattoos (check out my website!)

Outside of music and art, I love outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, yoga, and more. I love to cook, and even more than all of that I love to eat. There is not a single food that I dislike, I'm not picky at all!
The more places I travel to, the more I learn. I grew up in the mountains of Boulder, Colorado, surrounded by nature. I am a huge environmentalist, and am hoping to work with others to live more mindfully.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I'm trying my best to travel as much as possible in Europe while I'm studying in France. Of course, being a student, this means traveling on a budget. I have heard from many people about the positive connections they made on Couchsurfing, and it seems like the perfect way to make connections, meet people I wouldn't normally meet, and be able to travel and someday host.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love classical music, my favourite composer being Chopin or Schubert. I also love listening to Joni Mitchel, Kishi Bashi, Wildchild, Hozier, and much more.
I love watching good movies, specifically indie films. My favourites include: Captain Fantastic, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Way Way Back, Tallulah, Little Miss Sunshine, Lion, Silver Linings Playbook, and Pay it Forward.
In the last few years, I really haven't read many books, which makes me quite sad. I would like to get back into reading, so please show me some of your favourites! I recently read "The Call for Revolution" by the Dalai Lama, which I am trying to get everybody to read and live by.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing that I've done is gone white water rafting in the Colorado River, and fallen out during some wild rapids. I love crazy adventures, I love living moment to moment, day by day. I hope to have more crazy stories to tell, though I am only 21 and my adventures have just begun.
Someday though, I hope to change the world. I believe that changing the world begins from within, so right now I am working on obtaining inner peace through meditation. I love being around other world changers!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching, I have always wanted to be a teacher. I would be more than happy to offer music lessons: cello, guitar, voice, music theory, and music history. I would also love to do art together and share whatever lessons I have to share. I love cooking for people, and I love having intellectual conversations.
I am a lifelong learner. I will truly soak up whatever there is to learn. I would like to learn more languages, more instruments, more about science and math and psychology and philosophy... really everything.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share music, art, and compassion. I can also share a lifelong connection guaranteed, which means that if you ever are in need of something and I can help, I will. Come visit me in the states once I'm back! I will give you a grand tour of Oregon or Colorado. Thank you for opening your home!
