About Me

We moved! I started hosting Couchsurfers in Bozeman, MT, but this summer my husband and I moved to Salt Lake City for him to complete his medical residency. While we are newcomers to the city, we still have a spare room, and can suggest a few restaurants, breweries, and dog parks, and advise you on all of the weird alcohol laws of our new state! We also have a big backyard if you happen to be traveling with a friendly k9 companion! We live near Salt Lake’s Popular Sugar House Neighborhood, and just off I15 and I80, so it is also easy to get downtown, to the airport (both about 15 min) or to the nearby ski resorts!

I like hanging out with friends, taking my dog on walks and hikes, camping, going to local hot springs with friends, playing board games, baking, and knitting! I work a nice 8-5 job at the local university, so I have plenty time to get out and about with my dog, Brewster. My husband likes to brew beer, mountain bike, and woodwork. If you’re lucky, there might be some home brew on tap when you stay! We do have a large dog, so if you're not a dog person, our place probably won't be the best for you. We have a spare room, so you can have your own private space. We keep our house tidy, but not spotless, so hopefully that will make you feel at home. We’re both quite flexible, so we can hang out if you want, or you can just crash in the spare room!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people and having company. Now that I have a place with a spare room, I figure it's a great time to host some Couchsurfers! If I don't have guests, I start using the spare room as storage! I like playing the tour guide, and I've lived in Bozeman long enough to know about most of the local activities. I'd be happy to direct you to activities that interest you and show you around if you need some company.

Music, Movies, and Books

TV - lots of things on Netflix, but currently it's Game of Thrones season, so if you stay at my house on a Sunday, there will be lots of friends and we will be watching Game of Thrones! Music- I will listen to just about anything my friends put on, but I usually prefer folk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most exciting thing I've done was a study abroad trip to China. I love to travel, and it was a great experience where I learned so much about the culture, met amazing people, and tried way too much good food. I was able to spend two months there and visited several different cities. I look forward to traveling more in the future, but for now I'm letting the adventures come to me by hosting Couchsurfers!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love Montana and Bozeman, so I would love to share what my city and state have to offer. I can show you some fun places to hike, a local hot spring, or a local event that's going on during your visit. I would also love to hear about where you're from and why you love it. Maybe it can go on my future travel list!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Mexico, Peru
