About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Move freely, meet people, see more of this beautiful place we exist in.
ABOUT ME
Live simply, smile more, worry less. I'm practicing this: aligning actions, thoughts, and words. It isn't so easy turns out. I love to experience new places and faces whether it's a night, a weekend, a week, a month. I'm a lover of all things slow: travel, cooking, talking, exploring. I grew up in Northern California, lived in Encinitas, CA for a while, then on to Oahu, Hawaii, Logan, Utah and Portland, OR. I have a love affair with language and even more so what is spoken in the silence between sentences. I love life in the slow lane, snails and slugs and trains (and planes) when I want to cross those locomotiveless lands and paying attention to the little things. Oh, and I like to laugh, yeah, I really like that too.
PHILOSOPHY
One that allows for change and acceptance, whatever you may wish to call that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Upon arriving in Portland, OR to kick off exploring the PNW I had been gratefully introduced to the way communities are formed and how simply asking with an open approach, a willing sincerity to share in return can yield what you might never expect.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchurfed a few times in Seattle and met peoples via CS.
Interests
Writing, haiku, book swapping, movement(running, walking, hiking, floating a river, swimming in a sea, driving in a car, riding a bike, dancing horribly), newness, people, tea, cooking, sushi, sharing, dark chocolate, the ocean, water of all sorts, fascination with light, through a window onto hardwoods, sunrise, sunset... ohhh have you looked at people's eyeballs lately, there are entire worlds up in there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming with sea turtles and over a shark off of Lanikai beach wasn't too bad. Witnessing, learning the way love exists among and within people, friends, family, strangers, and myself. I am amazed every time I think of the way cause and effect works, the way people are connected through a chain of events and the absurd beauty of life. And Louis C.K. I haven't seen him live, but it's safe to say his humor is pretty amazing. I like honesty when it happens. P.S. There are a lot of minuscule but nothing short of amazing moments that have accumulated what I know to be my life thus far. Looking forward to many more.
