Overview
About Me
I'm nearly 19, I've lived in the English countryside my entire life. I'm a big fan of chocolate and meeting people who I can connect and easily converse with. I love animals, bohemian clothing and a good old debate. Hopefully in 2017 I will be going to university to study genetics.
I'm completely new to CS and I'm excited for what it may lead to, the profiles I've seen so far give me hope that I can meet some amazing people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am taking a gap year to travel from august 2016 until summer 2017, I am planning on going alone so I would love to have people to stay with who know the local area, the best things to do, and people who I can get to know and form friendships with.
Interests
Ah I'm so bad at talking about my interests but I'll give it a go, I'm very interested in philosophy and world religion, I find it fascinating and I'm studying philosophy and ethics at the moment. I love music, I'm a singer and self taught guitarist (by self taught I mean bad!) Recently I've been getting more and more interested in politics (although I'll admit that I don't always understand it) and equality, I'm definitely a feminist and a humanist. I'm also a newbie knitter. I enjoy drawing and photography, and I once tried my hand and stained glass work and loved it! I like to think I'm quite creative, I enjoy getting stuck in with a project. I also enjoy fun exercise, like exercise where I forget that I'm working out, I don't think i could ever go to a gym, but playing a game, going for a hike or even just dancing around like a lunatic I'm always up for!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big fan of lots of different types of music, from drum and bass to country and western, I've grown up listening to old school rock and roll courtesy of my dad, and in the last few years been introduced to the wonders of folk music, I love jazz and soul music. My favourite band at the moment is a folk hip hop band from Canterbury called Coco and the Butterfields, and my favourite singer is either Joss Stone or Amy Winehouse.
My favourite film by far is Titanic, I fell in love with Leonardo DiCaprio at 3 years old and never looked back, so anything with him is always going to be fabulous in my opinion. Some of my other favourite films are Seven Psychopaths, In Brugge, Dogma, The Dark Knight, The Holiday, Mean Girls (obviously), The Pirates of the Caribbean and The Harry Potter Series.
Some of my favourite books include Gone Girl, The Divergent Series, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, The Great Gatsby, The Perks of being a Wallflower, How I Live Now and The Fault in our stars
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I sang in The Royal Albert Hall in London when I was 15 with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn to cook different styles of food, from my experiences so far my cooking isn't that great, but I make some mean cookies so I guess I could teach people how to do that, but I just use recipes that contain the most chocolate so I guess it's more introducing you to recipes I've found than teaching, but I can do that!
I could teach someone to knit, if they fancied it, I am also qualified to teach singing so I'd love to do that if anyone was up for it. I'm open to learning about anything, I think everything is interesting if approached in the right way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you're a host just offering a room and would rather I stayed out of your way or your personal space I can do that, I enjoy my own company and I appreciate that not everyone is extroverted.
Or if you're up for making a crazy friend I'd love to spend time doing things and going new places with a host, I want to gain experiences and meet wonderful people :)
