About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much as the world as I can as slowly as I can and to hear as many local stories as I can along the way.
ABOUT ME
I spend a lot of time thinking about what I am going to have for lunch.
After studying for a year in Spain I was forced home, stupid exams, but am now running out into the world again. I am (will be shortly) english language assistant in O'Grove, Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain. For those of you too lazy to open google maps that is halfway between Porto, Portugal and the northern tip of the Iberian peninsula, sort of. While working on the coast I'll be living in Pontevedra.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is better with a glass of wine or a cold beer. If you can have those things, after a new adventure, with great people, a spectacular view, and a mind blowing meal, you may have just reach nirvana.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've never really had a couch to share, but I have loved sharing stories and experiences with others along the way and have been blessed to land on the couches of others. I hope this trip to Spain will mean I can give forward a bit more and share a couch of my own.
Interests
Does a list work? I like lists so I say it does.
FOOD, photography, books and writing of any kind, things which are old and have a great story, really stories in general, new places, new people, cooking, writing, eating, anything involving being outside, rain, skirts, have I said I like to eat?,

Music, Movies, and Books
1812 overture gives me chills. Johnny Cash and the old country stars remind me of my dad (that's a good thing). Jack Johnson is my Sunday morning hero and I can sing from memory an entire song about easter island heads. Every song has a time and a place and I can get down to most anything that doesn't involve someone screaming into a mike.
Generally speaking I have a hard time sitting through movies, but I love a great nature program, any show about food (Master Chef anyone?), and am down to watch a ted talk. Also I grew up with disney and pixar so if you feel like you need to have a Lion King sing off, I could be down.
The Velveteen Rabbit made me fall in love with reading.
Ella enchanted taught me that novels were amazing.
Dune blew my mind.
Federico García Lorca taught me that the Spanish write some serious poetry.
The Name of the Wind is currently calling mine.
I read veraciously and with joy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I said no to marrying the man I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with because he could not hear the call of the road and I could hear nothing else.
If that sounds a bit dramatic, perhaps it is, but it seems the shortest way to sum it up.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am currently in that fluid period between permanent abodes and, well countries of residence. So, in the mean time I can share a drink, a smile, and a story.
