One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple of friends and I hiked the Salkantay Trek up to Machu Picchu. We had to run up the mountain the last day because we miscalculated the lines for the buses and we had bought tickets to Wayna Picchu. By the time we got there, we were incredibly exhausted, so we toured around a little bit and then passed out on one of the field overlooking the site. I woke up not exactly knowing where I was, and so to look out and see Machu Picchu in it's entirety was straight out of a dream. It's one of my best memories.

I spent the last summer on a 3 month internship in Panama. Everyday I got to go to the canal and dig up fossils/look at rock outcrops. It was the most unbelievable time of my life.
