ABOUT ME

I'm an American girl who is a little TOO excited to travel around the world. There are millions of things in this amazing world that I haven't seen and I live to see them all. So far I've seen the world's biggest rubber band ball and the world's smallest woman (I don't think she was really the smallest, though. Total disappointment). Basically, I have not traveled much and I want very badly to learn about other cultures and people and to be able to see places that I've only read about! I LOVE to read, but books only make me want to get up and actually live the adventures that these fictional characters get to have. I live in Utah and go to college for Special Education. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for those who can't do for themselves. I'm a welcoming host and a gracious guest. I would love to meet you!

Music: Fleet Foxes, The Tallest Man on Earth, Joanna Newsom, First Aid Kit, Kendrick Lamar, Billy Joel, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, James Taylor, Phosphorescent, Dirty Projectors, Show Tunes, classical music, Bon Iver, Iron and Wine, the Shins, Band of Horses, and lots more!

Movies: I LOVE movies. I like all Tarantino films and all Wes Anderson films. The Shawshank Redemption, The Emperor's New Groove, all Pixar movies, Les Miserables, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Great Gatsby, Cabin in the Woods, Magnolia, Requiem for a Dream, Pan's Labyrinth, The Lives of Others, The Intouchables, etc.

Books: My favorite book is the Great Gatsby. Nothing compares to it. Other than that I like 1984, Pride and Prejudice, The Bell Jar, The Count of Monte Cristo, Les Mis, Extremely Loud and Incredible Close, The Things they Carried, Brave New World, The Giver

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about different cultures. I'm new to CS, and I am new to traveling outside of the United States! I'm thrilled to be able to meet people who can teach me about their culture and hopefully some of their language! I don't have a lot to offer but I do have a warm personality, a good sense of humor and a passion for musical theatre.
