About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live simply, but boldly. Meet facinating people along the way.

ABOUT ME

I work for a humane welfare organization. For a couple of years I coordinated volunteers. I adore volunteers. They're crazy, stubborn, challenging and they give freely of their time & talents- simply amazing. Now I work for the same organization doing PR. It's fun & never the same one day to the next. I do TV, but absolutely never watch myself. Built a website, get paid to Facebook and I take my dogs with me to work, seriously ridiculous huh?

Outside of work I try to live pretty simply. I am learning to be quite a handy-woman by fixing up my 100 year old house. I hike in the foothills with the canines when the weather's nice. I go overboard on gardening during the summer. Love going to Saturday market to people watch and get my market favorites: dried fruit, cherries, rhubarb-anything jam, and salsa. I take loads of photos. I like spending quality time with the people I care about & partaking in the plethora events and activities this area has to offer. If you're looking to visit Boise, I'd be happy to give you the rundown!

PHILOSOPHY

May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. -Edward Abbey

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm slowly becoming more of an "experienced" couchsurfer. I have had incredible experiences and most importantly, met fantastic and facinating people. Choosing to work for non-profits, I essentially work for peanuts. Instead of giving up on traveling entirely due to the expense, I've traveled always crashing on couches of friends, friends of friends, and essentially strangers I was hooked up with through distant connections. I stubbled upon couchsurfing when I was looking to travel to the southern US where I didn't have known couches to crash. The crashing of couches unknown was better than I'd imagined it could be. I've had the pleasure of having surfers from all over crash my guest room too. Couchsurfing is the best.
