About Me

CURRENT MISSION
traveling through Canada and getting to know like-minded people through Couchsurfing, workaway etc.

ABOUT ME
I am easy-going, down to earth, curious about life and new cultures. I feel most alive when riding horses especially galloping (unfortunately I ride very seldom, since I don't have good options nearby). I'm always up for a good conversation and I like the idea that by meeting strangers, you get to know people that normally wouldn't cross your path. Also I think it's a gift to get to know people with different views and perspectives on things, since we usually surround ourself with like-minded people, that tend to approve to what we're saying.

PHILOSOPHY
We learn until we die and it is foolish to think that there will ever be a point in life, where we reach a stop. I know it's cliche, but I do think that life can stop any second, and therefore it is important to do more things we enjoy and try to make most of our days. Being restless is not the answer to that though ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well I heard about it a few years ago and simply wanted to try it out :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I couchsurfed in Salzburg, Paris, Vendôme, Vienna and a couple of cities in Ireland and England. I really do have to call myself a "super-lucky-duck" because my hosts and guests have been absolutely amazing and I even met a few of them again.
Since I lived in Vienna for 10 months, where my roommate agreed to hosting guests, I was also able to host a few people there, just to give back a bit of the kindness I received while traveling.

Interests

I like good humor (of course good humor is always subjective :D), I also can laugh at really superficial stuff, especially when I'm too tired ;), I am a little addict when it comes to series, although they have to be adventurous and thrilling (A few of the series I've watched so far: The Leftovers (disturbing, but fascinating and deep), Breaking Bad, Satisfaction, Mistresses, Grim (I think there's a certain charm to it, especially when you are German :D)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met my boyfriend 6 years ago and learned so so much out of our relationship and still do! One great experience we had was hitchhiking through England.

I almost fell off a sailing ship doe to a heavy storm in San Franciso, and we had to make it back to the harbour without the engine, which turned out to be quite difficult.

I finished my high-school degree better then I could have imagined, which gave me the opportunity to study Psychology (in Germany you need pretty good grades to get accepted), until that day I thought that getting accepted by a german uni would never be the case, so that made me very happy!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach german and how to play the violin. I love to share thoughts and experiences.
I am keen to improve my horse riding skills and learn more languages (my french is still pretty aweful) and I'd like to improve my English as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like cooking and baking (mostly German and Italian or something that's just a mixture or made up) , so that I can teach or share with you :) Of course I can also tell you a little bit about psychology and psychotherapy if you want ;)

Countries I’ve Visited
