To embark on a journey of world and self exploration while acquiring new skills and giving back to communities.

ABOUT ME

Hannah Holmes and Qasim Anwar are US citizens who were previously living and teaching English in South Korea.

We are currently on an extended trip around South Asia with the following goals:

-To give back to the communities that we visit.

-To learn agricultural methods through volunteer work on organic farms.

-To improve our artistic skills in the areas of writing, drawing, photography, filmmaking and ceramics.

-To commune with nature through rock climbing and scuba diving.

-To meet new people and form lasting connections with friends from other cultures!

PHILOSOPHY

We both come from very different backgrounds and it was a combination of our differences and similarities that brought us together. Our similarities give us common ground, while our differences allow us to continuously challenge and teach each other.

We believe this is the basis for all quality human interaction. Share what we have in common and embrace our differences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have stayed with hosts in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Although we haven't yet had the chance to host anyone, we had the pleasure of meeting up with a former host when he came to visit our city. We look forward to hosting in the future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had great experiences and met amazing people through the couch surfing network and plan to keep doing so!

-Hiked to the top of a recently erupted volcano.
-Watched as a massive sea turtle glided over my head in Bunaken, Indonesia.
-Met the person I want to spend my life with while rock-climbing next to a waterfall.

We can teach you how to rock climb, recommend a large number of sci-fi novels or movies, and share Pakistani cooking secrets.

We also know how to:
-sew by hand
-play the jaw harp
-turn our eyelids inside out

We can share the products of our artistic hobbies: drawings, photos and videos.
