I was born in New Zealand, where I lived until the travel bug bit me at 18, and since then I've lived in England, Canada and Japan.

I now live in Sydney, Australia where I play with words, drink wine and win trivia nights. I love outdoor adventures, dogs and novelty sized things.

I've been surfing since 2010 when I was living and travelling in Canada and the US. I love Couchsurfing because it gives me a local's view of the city, an instant friend and a place to call home for the duration of my stay. I've also had some great experiences as a host, and a member of the Couchsurfing community in various cities.

Interessi

I travel as much as I can, and I like to write about it, but I can be a bit lazy, so I use Instagram instead a lot of the time. I'm making the most of the Sydney lifestyle by enjoying water sports, especially swimming and diving, and I like to get out of the city on weekends for camping, hiking and 4X4.

Perhaps the most dramatic would be climbing Mt Fuji overnight and watching the sun rise over the clouds the next morning. That was an amazing experience, and it was totally worth the three days of limping that followed.

I don't have many useful skills, but I can juggle, make balloon animals, whip up awesome crepes and put apostrophes in the right place.
