Overview
About Me
I am a very positive thinking person and love to spend my live with things that make me happy. I just finished my Bachelor in International Cultural and Business Studies in Passau, Germany.
I would describe me as a easy going person who can adapt to nearly every situation.
I like to be active and get the most out of my time. I like doing sports, meeting my friends and spend time with them, talk about life etc. Further I love to get to know new people and see new places. Traveling is a huge part of my life and I spend one year in Thailand and one year in China already. The best adventures are the ones you really live and not only read about :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me traveling is more than just going to a place, take a photo in front of a monument and then leave again. I love to travel because it allows you to understand yourself and your culture in a better way by seeing how different cultures and people live, what kind of values they believe in, what makes them happy.
Culture can be seen as such a huge impact on peoples live and behavior and I have a special interest in seeing (basically this is also part of my studies).
Further I made the experience that it is always great and better seeing a place in a way people see it who really live there. I was volunteering in Thailand for a year and stayed in a local family during this time. Without them I would never had the chance to get to know the daily life (and would have been lost several times ;)).
Therefore being here on Couchsurfing is kind of a giving and taking because it provides you the great opportunity to connect with open minded persons from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: If it comes to music I am very open but I love acoustic sessions and anything that sounds nice.
Movies: I love watching movies but could not really tell what my favorite movie is. I like movies that make you wonder in the end, make you happy or make you think about your own life.
Books: I love books written by Haruki Murakami
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my time in Thailand I learned a lot about Buddhism. So I went to a 10 days silent mediation retreat in southern Thailand. This was a really challenging experience as speaking, reading as well as any form of action which could keep you from focusing on meditation was strictly prohibited. As we in our modern society are constantly surrounded by information (via other people, phone, computer,..) this can be very hard only focusing on basically thinking nothing all the time. After the ten days I was super happy to speak again and although it was challenging this experience still sticks in my head.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can definitely share some experience about traveling – especially in Asia. If you plan to travel to Thailand I can for sure recommend you some cool places to see :)
