Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Practicing freedom - travelling, writing, practicing and teaching yoga
ABOUT ME
Freshly certified yoga teacher, fledgling writer, travel and adventure enthusiast and student of the world.
I enjoy meeting new people (especially over a good meal and a drink or two).
I feel that travel is defined by the people that you meet and get great satisfaction from a good conversation with a likeminded person, especially when they are from the other side of the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Independence, love, balance and freedom.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am very new to CS and recently signed up to meet people as my sister and I road trip across the USA. So far, all of our favourite people have been CS members. I really enjoy getting to know a place by seeing how people live there, not by ticking off the Lonely Planet attractions and find that CS is a great way to see the 'real' side of every city.
I beleive in karma and hence, would love to return the favour and host fellow couchsurfers when I return home.Eve
Interests
Yoga, writing, travel, being in and around the ocean, socializing (especially over a wine or craft beer).

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very eclectic taste in movies and music (think the Wedding Singer and Wayne's World to any arthouse French film ever made).
My 'go to' music would have to be Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, the Doors, the Beatles, the Kinks and pretty much anything from the 60's/ 70's but am often caught out listening to trashy retro 80's pop playlists (Blondie, ABBA, Bryan Ferry, the Cars and a million other one hit wonders.
I love reading the classics- currently John Steinbeck.
My road trip companion and sister is the music playlist extraordinaire so I like to listen to whatever she is playing.. Your ears could also be beneficiary to her music if you host us :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1.Reaching the highest point of the inca trail in the pouring rain with an awesome playlist blaring in my ears- that was an epiphany!
2. Standing on a catamaran in the San Blas islands waking from sleeping on a trampoline to dolphins swimming under me and seeing 15 islands all around me.
3. Cuba.
Teach, Learn, Share
Some good conversation and potentially a drinking buddy!
Free yoga (just got my teaching certification in Costa Rica).
A couch in Aus in return one day (when I finally return home).
