Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To knit my way around the world.
ABOUT ME
My name is Hannah and I'm a Scottish twenty-something knitter, book lover, runner and cat lady with a problematic wool addiction and an itch to travel. I am easy going, friendly and I enjoy chatting, eating out, and a good cup of tea. I love meeting new people, and I'm always up for an adventure.
I live in Aberdeen on the North East coast of Scotland with my husband, Alex, and our two cats, Henry and Morag. I work in HR for a local housing association.
PHILOSOPHY
Never turn down a good opportunity. A cup of tea will fix everything when it goes wrong.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been hosted by some amazing people on my travels round the USA; and plan to continue couch surfing on my travels, whilst returning the favour by occasionally hosting surfers here at home in Scotland when I can.
Interests
Knitting, sewing, reading, running, meeting new people, travelling and seeing the world, cups of tea.
I have a knitting blog where I enjoy writing about my knitting projects and adventures:

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read, and I enjoy everything with the general exception of crime/detective fiction. My favourite book of all time is The Time Traveler's Wife - I've read it a million times!
Music: I like almost anything - to name some favourites, I love Lana Del Rey, Belle & Sebastian, James, Oasis, Biffy Clyro.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am still not over the amazement of actually working, and living, in a skyscraper in midtown Manhattan. I wanted to go there my whole life, and I went on my own, with nothing, knowing no-one... so I think that's pretty amazing!
My other amazing experience would have to be hitch hiking from Scotland to Munich, Germany for charity. It was a race, and I did it with a friend in around 57 hours, we came 19th place out of 50 teams, it was in January and it was freezing but we met some awesome people and i had an amazing time!
Teach, Learn, Share
Try everything once. Learn to knit.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, good chat and a good cup of tea. I'm also VERY clean and tidy and will impulsively tidy up if left to my own devices... So you can always make use of that feature!
I can also teach you to knit!
