Overview
About Me
You might frequently find me renovating Rudi (my van) or listening to lectures about breast cancer while knitting a sweater.
I am enthusiastic about gardening, sustainable living, alternative forms of living in communities, edible mushrooms (no, not that kind), and to in general figure out who to DIY anything and everything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Deep down I'm just a grandma who wants to make sure everybody's eating enough and who's force-feeding you another piece of pie.
My current living arrangements unfortunately make it difficult to host couchsurfers. I am looking forward to paying forward the kindness again in the future.
Interests
Climbing and bouldering! Both in- and outdoors. Very unexperienced in multi-pitch and trad and willing to improve.
I have a deep- seated aversion to red ants and to movies where picture and sound are out of sync.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I love polyrhythms (or, in general, nuts that are harder to crack - Tigran Hamasyan, Hiatus Kaiyote) but I'm very much here for a good old dance party in the kitchen to trashy pop.
Books:
The last authors I enjoyed were Hannah Arendt, Irvin Yalom, Albert Camus, and Kurt Vonnegut.
Trying to understand Nietzsche, but failing.
Art!
I admire Tove Jansson and Yayoi Kusama, almost more for their attitude than their art. Well, again, there are a lot more, like Erwin Wurm, André Thomkins, Steve McCurry, Egon Schiele, etc.
What I Can Share with Hosts
- Austrian and Finnish food!
- I'll do my best to answer all your weird questions about the human body. (You know you have them)
