About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to embrace the life of a solo traveller
ABOUT ME
I am sitting here on my hostel bed celebrating my one year anniversary of travel with a bowl of rice and tuna!! What an amazing twelve months I've had.
I've learnt so much about myself in the past year and had an absolutely amazing time doing so! I've met some of the most wonderful people, most of whom I can now call life long friends!
I've had some amazing parties, seen some incredible scenery and had my fair share of adventures. If I get the chance to surf with you i'm sure I can share some of my stories!
For now travel is my life and I'm enjoying every minute of it but before I took to the skies to see the world I had a job!
Two years ago I lived in the bustling city of Melbourne last year where I was able to experience life in the fast lane...my first year out as a graduate teacher!! The best thing about living in one of the best cities in the world?! The culture. Riding my vintage pushbike to the market every weekend, live music, festivals, savers and good beer weren't far behind!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Whilst going from hostel to hostel is fun, you don't always get to see the best that town/city has to offer. I want the grass roots. From the local hangouts to the hidden gems. I want the true cultural experience. I want it all!
I'm travelling at the moment, but when back home in melbourne I live by myself and would love nothing more than to host people when I return and show them the best time i possible can! Good Karma.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had my first couch surfing experience last year! and I have definitely slept on many a couch throughout my oh so eventful life!
I enjoy catching up with old friends and making new ones. This couch surfing thing; it's me... all over!
Interests
Traveling- ever since I can remember I've wanted to travel, anywhere and everywhere. Africa, Europe, India, Asia. If only I had the money to do it all now.
Family- I've left behind 3 older sisters, my parents, my dogs and my two beautiful nephews Hamish and Angus...one of the hardest things i've had to do was saying goodbye to my little guys!!
Music- anything live! alternative, rock, blues, jazz...
Children- I love kids. I'm a teacher, so I guess thats a good thing. They have the ability to sense any emotion and to brighten even the shittiest day.
Outdoors- walking, running, biking, hiking
Sport/Fitness- netball, basketball, gym
Socialising- enjoying a good pint of beer with mates over a good healthy/or not so healthy meal
Chocolate- enough said.
Animals- I'm a sucker for a cute dog. Grew up breading sheep dogs. Give me a puppy and some chocolate and i'm all yours!
Reading; I'm a sucker for tragedy and triumph, fiction or non fiction....tear jerkers are the best!
Writing; I'm a deep person. I like thinking....albeit far too much. Writing down my thoughts after each day is my release...if i could play guitar i'd have written a thousand songs, but i can't.
