Heya! My name is Hannah, I'm an American from California currently living a broad in windy Scotland. I'm pursuing a degree in Philosophy at the moment, but really I'm interested in all sorts of things, from politics to education to arts... you name it. I miss the sun, but have loved meeting people from all over the world here in the UK, and am excited for so many more adventures to come...

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

This'll have to be a list:
-First and foremost, I love meeting new people, especially when traveling. Travel can be so isolating, and why not make new friends all over the world?
-Speaking of travel being isolating, being alone in a new city it's difficult to get to know the real city at all without speaking to locals. Couchsurfing helps.
-I want to share my experience with others, and learn from theirs!
-Why give big hotels the money they probably have too much of when we can all help a *real person* out?
-There's so much for me to learn (and teach others!).

Intereses

History and politics, philosophy (it's what I study!), the diversity of culture, dancing, drinking, cooking (I will cook for you if you let me into your kitchen!), music and art... These are all so vague. I'm interested in most things I suppose, but tend to stay away from small talk in favor of getting to the real.

I will gladly speak about my opinions and perspectives, and am always up for a good discussion or debate, whether over breakfast, dinner or a pint. That said on a more practical note, I'll also (of course) gladly help cook, clean, etc. (ever tried mole?)
