Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to travel as much as possible and find joy, adventure, and presence in all of the rich experience that this world has to offer.
ABOUT ME
I am 29 and generally I am traveling solo with a minimally planned itinerary. A relatively seasoned traveller, I have been adventuring solo since I was 21. Currently I live in Portland, OR and have just returned from living in Barcelona for a year where I studied Spanish and taught English. My interests include all things outdoors (skiing, hiking, camping, climbing, etc), reading, writing, and embarking on random last minute adventures. I have always been very interested in health, science and culture and it is what drives me professionally.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to meet up with others who are passionate about travel and may be newcomers to Oregon. I would be so happy to show you around my home and give you some of the secrets of this wonderland I live in. In turn I as a traveler I hope to be given the same hospitality. When I am abroad I'd like to meet up with locals who would be willing to show me around. I'd also love to meet up with other travelers who want to join me in seeking some new adventures. Occassionally I may also be looking for a couch to crash on!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Interests
Interested in many things and the list is constantly growing! I am very interested in health science and more specifically women's health. I hope to eventually work in women and infant health on a global scale. I am currently studying pre-nursing.
Creatively I love to write and will hopefully start posting some of my travel writing online through a travel blog.
I am a bit of a nerd so I read a lot of fiction novels and love a good fantasy book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been so fortunate to have had so many wonderful experiences in my life that have been amazing to me. I have climbed mountains, bungee jumped, swam in the bluest water I've ever seen in Laos, motorbiked along the coast of Vietnam, played on a glacier, scuba dived in Thailand, swam with 500 dolphins in New Zealand, stood in the ruins of Rome... I am so grateful for all of these adventures, they all culminate to form the one, continuous, amazing experience that is travel.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have worked for several years as a rock climbing instructor in a variety of settings. I also completed a two year outdoor leadership certificate through the university of Oregon wherein I learned countless outdoor education and practical skills for outdoor pursuits.
I also have an wilderness first responder certificate and am a certified Nursing assistant, and CPR certified.
Skills that I am able to share include climbing, skiing, backpacking, and travel skills. I also have basic medical skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
With hosts I will be respectful, courteous and endlessly open minded. I am always excited to listen to stories, learn new skills, and learn about new places. I will be willing to challenge the limits of my comfort zone and add to my experiences. I am very clean, honest and humble. I Love animals and would love to help with any chores or work in exchange for a place to stay or a local tour.
