About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding & cooking a new food every week

ABOUT ME

My favourite thing to do is explore cities and see architecture and graffiti. I especially like finding places, mostly old buildings, that have been transformed/reused/repurposed,

I want to work in a museum as a curator of urban culture.

PHILOSOPHY

My project at the moment is to live more simply. I'm trying to cook with only a few, fresh ingredients, to buy fewer things and whittle down all my belongings to those things that I really love or need.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I feel really lucky to have travelled a lot and to have wonderful parents who always brought me along with them on trips. I want to meet new people and hear their stories and to pass along the good karma.

Interests

I am always ready for a dance party.

I play the harp and it has probably been the most consistently important activity for me. Unfortunately, I feel this most when I'm away from home and therefore without my harp. It's a hard instrument to travel with. I've always wanted to play the harmonica.

I love to ski, although I tend not to live near mountains.

Lately I've also been more and more interested in origami. I'm not quite patient enough to be really good at it, but I'm amazed by people who come up with ways to make all kinds of things out of paper.

I also like to participate in elaborate capers and hijinks. In my family there is an ongoing game as to who can best fool someone and then who exacts the funniest/most creative revenge, ad infinitum.

Also these things too: going to the market, wine and tea (but not together), swimming, reading, writing letters, knitting, costume parties (or any excuse to wear a costume).
