About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make friends in Cork - I just relocated from Glasgow to Cork for work.
ABOUT ME
I consider myself to be quite an open person, I love speaking to people about their life styles, their home towns, how their childhood was different or similar to mine... Anything really! I could talk for hours (no, really).
I studied languages at University and I think my passion for traveling and discovering new cultures came from my time as an Erasmus student in Perpignan and Alicante. When I returned, I found myself drawn to people traveling in the areas I lived, wanting to show them what these places were like for people who lived there.
PHILOSOPHY
'You regret the things you don't do more than the things you do.'
And:
'Progress, not perfection.'
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I mainly use Couchsurfing to meet new people . I haven't had much chance to travel lately, but I'm always interested in hanging out, going for coffee, visiting a museum, going for a drink, etc. I don't do much hosting, I'm afraid, but I regularly attended the CS meets in Glasgow.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done a little bit of hosting, and it was a great experience! My main circle of friends in Glasgow grew from people I met through couchsurfing. Most couchsurfers are open, friendly, and eager to learn about other cultures, which is why I think I get on with them so well!

Music, Movies, and Books
French Banlieue cinema (La Haine, Entre les Murs, Banlieue 13), any kind of music, a lot of top 40s but also Laura Marling, Christophe Maé, anything cheerful! Books, Shantaram, One Day, Little Face...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are so many! Most of them have happened while traveling or meeting travelers. One of the most amazing things ever is when you meet someone, start talking to them, and immediately feel like you've known them forever. Other than that:
Traveling to Mexico with a group of Guides, meeting others from all over the world, and spending a day with children from underprivileged areas.
Teach, Learn, Share
I taught English in France for a year, and am not a lecturer in French so I guess I can help out with language a little! I can also make some traditional British meals quite well. I can help teach someone the basics of knitting!
Countries I’ve Visited
