我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing for a variety of different reasons. I primarily think that travelling is the most enriching when you meet the people of the culture you are exploring. Coming into contact with a culture through locals is a very different experience to coming into contact with it from a travel book or through the tourism industry (note: these are still important). Couch Surfing is the perfect answer to being able to connect with others and through that create new spaces for cultural exchange.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Travelling to Sri Lanka to visit my family and heritage. It was a particularly special trip as I adventured to places off the touristic track and looked up family members that I hadn't ever met before. It was such an amazing experience because I was able to better understand where I come from.

I am a keen cook and love to experiment with different types of cuisine and flavours. I am always up for cooking a meal for someone or even giving some of me secrets away. I am currently studying psychology/ philosophy at Melbourne University and am interested in continuing my studies. I am always up for a chat about books, music and art. I have fuelled my passion for travel through venturing to different parts of the world. Some of my favourites are Viet nam, Hungary, Portugal and Scandinavia.
