I'm a Leiden citizen, spend most of my life around this city but being traveler in heart. Up to now all my travel experience have been within Europe. I traveled within and beyond Dutch borders; for holidays, work, to visit family, friends, meet new people and widen the field of view.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Summer 2011 I had my first couchsurfing-experience in Rome, Italy. I've met many great, friendly people - thanks to them it has been a wonderful time. In later years I hosted some people in my former apartments in Leiden - all great experiences with lovely people :)

I'm on Couchsurfing because of the travelers-mindset shared by the members of this platform. It's a great way to meet like-minded world citizen and share the love for freely traveling the world.
Thereby I believe that locals can tell what the place really is like, and show the places you shouldn't miss - as I can tell you about and show you around in Leiden.

I'm looking back at several great Couchsurfing-experiences and hope many more will follow.
