ABOUT ME

My name is Una. I live in Umeå, in the north of Sweden.

I'm most of my time up to do something. meet people hang around, to do creative things, like playing in two bands, folkpunk and hardcore. i make art, and will make a movie this autumn. I also do acroyoga and dance. i like to meet new peolple and u r more than welcome to surf on my couch, but i prefer to host queers or girls (and children).

i have also for several years been organizing the feminist festival in Umeå. And i di other political stuff too.

I hate capitalism, the patriarchy, heterosexism, rasism.

PHILOSOPHY

live life as you want it. see, hear, feel, taste. i can always can get new experiences, i want to meet people, you have always something to learn. have fun, break rules.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't been able to host any people yet from couch surfing, but I been surfing, and have met a lot of wonderful people through this project. I surfed on couches for a month in eastern europe and in san fransisco.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was traveling together with 2 friends in eastern europe for a month this summer and couchsurfed a lot. I met a lot of nice people and i think it's a good way of traveling, you get so much more out of it. Now i will go to san francisco in december for one month and i hope that i will get in touch with people over there!
one of the best experiences was when we went to budapest. It was a great town, we really recomend it, and we had a wonderful host who knew about all the concerts, clubs and cultural events. She helped us to get to know the city faster than it would take if we were there livin on a hostel, and that is what couchsufing is about, besides all the nice people you meet and all the interesting conversations you share.

Interests

for now, most of my time off school i hang around with friends, i don't really spend so much time at home but when i do i like to listen to music, cook food, play music. I like to go to concerts, i like to dance a lot! Otherwise my big intrerests are painting and building stuff. i also like to just have a good time being in the beautiful nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being on tours with one of my bands Lily.
I've been traveling together with 2 friends in the middle and eastern europe. The favorite place on that trip was budapest. We really recomend to go there, and if you don't find any couchsurfers there is a really nice hostel called backpackers guesthouse that's really worth to visit. we stayed there for some nights when our host had left the town. really nice staff and athmosfere.
I've been living in barcelona for a year too. I was from the beginning studying art for 6 months but after that i came back. An amazing town with a lot of nice tings happening.

Some years ago i was traveling with friends in the states for 5 weeks. we couchsurfed in San Fransisco and then srow down to LA, San Diego and Mexico. I had such a great time there.
