Overview
About Me
A huge urge to learn and explore. Currently I'm all about the academic art of riding, liberty dressage and small scale forestry.
I'm an easygoing person, down to earth, love being outdoors. Some people might describe me as quite active and energetic, but I'd never mind a lazy day by the beach or chilling out with a nice view. Although I do believe the view is best enjoyed after a sweet hike to the top ;)
Since I’m not travelling as much as before (got myself a horse to care for nowadays) I’d love to host more to still get the thrill of meeting couchsurfers and travelers.
I live in Skara, a small town in southern Sweden, on a former farm in town where i rent a small cottage. This place has the vibes of the country side but with all the pros of the town, like five minutes walk to the shop and ten minutes to public transport.
I grew up on a farm nearby where I work part time. We run an organic dairy production, and I'd be happy to show around if interested.
The area is called Skaraborg and is beautiful! The nature spans from wide stretched fields to lush forests with small lakes. There are also the plateau mountains (hills) of Billingen and Kinnekulle, and lake Vänern, the biggest lake in Sweden. There is so much to see, do and enjoy!

If you want to get an idea of what the rural and small town life of Sweden is like, this is a great place to start!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing for the same same reasons I hitchhike, travel and study human behaviour: for the enjoyment of meeting new people. I'm amazed by how much there is to learn from each other!
I also like how having guests gives me reason to explore the area where I live and go see all the best places more often :)
Interests
I love spending time outdoors and with nice people. Preferably combined.
Currently my primary activity is horse riding, which is great fun! Flip side is that it effectively limits the time avaliable for other activities, but I try make time for yoga, running/orienteering, hiking and spending time with beloved family and friends.
If I had unlimited amount of time and money I'd pick up hang gliding, rock climbing and surfing again, that was fun activities.
Would love to try free diving!
I also love chocolate and cheese, yummy stuff you can never get too much of!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Snorkelling with orcas in northern Norway.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be happy to show this small part of the Swedish countryside with everything there is! I can tell some about farming, swedish animal welfare in dairy production, forestry and other such things that are part of my life/work/living.
And I can share experiences and recommendations for countries I've visited.
I'm not the biggest fan of cooking, but I love trying food from different parts of the world! Generally: if you cook, you can stay.
