CURRENT MISSION
Finding the balance between a full time job and an exciting free time
ABOUT ME
After struggling to find my dream job for 2 years, I finally started to teach and conduct my own research at Ghent University. I absolutely love doing my fieldwork in the mountains, and I can get quite nerdy about different subjects. I guess you can say that I'm very eager to learn new things. And I never travel without literature.
I'm always up for a good conversation, whatever the subject. I enjoy spending time with my friends, hanging around in bars or outdoors, in the sparse nature that Belgium has to offer. I'm passionate about nature and nothing can impress me more than its beauty.
But I do like to live in the vibrant small town of Ghent, strolling around on my cruiser (something in between a skateboard and a longboard).
PHILOSOPHY
Do what you love and do it with respect for others

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hearing howling of wolves in the middle of the night in Poland while camping in a tent.
Playing in the first snow of the year in the mountains nearby Grenoble (France).
Living for 2 months in a very rural, isolated village in the mountains in Ethiopia.
Seeing Killer whales in the rough Icelandic sea.
Meeting a Russian opera singer in a bar in Saint Petersburg, and to hear him sing after a few vodka shots.
(Do I really need to pick one?)
Teach, Learn, Share
I still have much to learn - But since I'm teaching Geography at Uni, I can probably teach you a few nerdy things :) And I know a lot of fun random facts.
Currently, I'm learning Russian.. And since I suck in languages, and Russian is quiet hard, I can always use some help.
